There were days I could go an entire car ride with smooth playback, and days that it happened twice every song (that's probably an exaggeration but it sure damn feels like it), and it happens when playing through the phone speaker, bluetooth speaker, bluetooth headset, and line-in aux. It doesn't matter if no music app was open on the phone, the command opens it up and it starts playing no matter what, and there's no way on the car to stop. I can't remember if it was already happening before, or if it didn't start happening until after, but around the time I upgraded to 5.0.1, I started to notice that any time I was playing music through any app (Pandora, Google Play, and Milk so far) it would inconsistently pause the music, which was just simply fixed by turning on the screen and pressing play again, or it would close the music app entirely.Īnd this was an incredibly inconsistent thing. Whenever my phone (stock Nexus 4 running 4.4.4) connects to it, the car sends a 'play' command that automatically starts the most recently used music app (Google Play Music, Pandora, etc.).
